In Capital: 1929 – Wall Street players find themselves in New York, only a few years before the onset of the Great Depression of 1929. Each player takes the role of executive characters, such as prominent personalities or ambitious entrepreneurs, who try to dominate over the U.S. Economy using the mechanisms of the game. The game unfolds over four Eras, each representing a historical period in America, starting with the Second Industrial Revolution, from the Gilded Age (around 1865) and heading through the Progressive Era and Roaring Twenties to the Great Depression (1929). Players must work to prevent the economic collapse, saving the U.S. economy and rewriting history.
